Income and Donations

WeStopSpam has no source of income for the promotion or maintenance of this site. The research department gives us a few dollars, however, it’s your donations that help make the site possible, all other expenses are “out of pocket.” This is not fair to the research department or to our pockets. A site survey shows that donations do not work very well; there are over 400 hits on this site between donations. The stats on WeStopSpam show that 1 out of 3 visitors stay on this site for more than two minutes and less than 1 hour and they also show that these visitors are taking advantage of the great links. Most commercial sites are satisfied if they get 1 out of 100 search engine hits, so we know that we have a great hit ratio. Running a site like this can easily run into big bucks on a daily basis, but a small donation of $5.00 helps more than you can imagine. Please consider helping by clicking the PayPal link below. Westopspam History

Using the GOOGLE ® search tool, we plugged in our web site “Westopspam.net” and were amazed to find over 200 results for our query. Now, it is obvious that not all of them belong to us but the vast majority of them are related, either directly or indirectly.

The top results show two of our six pages, the others can be found later in the results. There are more than fifty pages that have links to our site, mostly from other anti-spyware site. Seven or so are related to WeStopSpam.com (another good site) and a good deal that relate to an article that was written in 2001…let’s take a closer look at that.

Prior to 2005, WeStopSpam.net was an internet “watch-dog” that contracted with other Anti-Spam services, acting as a liaison to the offending site, domain hosts and end users. In 2001, an article was written by Elena Fawkner, outlining how her article was mailed by an eZine and later mistaken as spam. As a result her site was closed and her battle started. In the end her site was reinstated and her article was picked up by several sites… WeStopSpam faded off into internet obscurity and its name was again available via public domain services.

In 2005 the name was purchased and the ALL NEW WeStopSpam site now operates with the sole purpose of helping you eliminate Spyware, Spam and all related issues that drive you crazy. Now that we have risen to the top of the anti-spam heap we will continue to fight spam wherever it is and whatever it looks like, but we need your help.

Our approach here at WeStopSpam is clean and simple. We find the very best of the “anti Spam”, “anti Virus”, and “anti Spy-ware” internet sites and bring them to you. WeStopSpam is an honest site and to the best of our knowledge, all links are to honest sites. Many hours of time are spent searching and researching the internet to find just the right tools for you, and for your protection all links are subject to being removed if they do not maintain the highest of standards.
We challenge any one out there to take a corrupted site and turn it into a peach of a site.
 All information at “WeStopSpam” is kept private. We never harvest, collect E-mail addresses for the purposes of selling them.
